C. Classic Case
- An American M Electrical Products company, one of the 500 Fortunes, entered into China and grew fast. The products are made in China and distributed all over the world. One year ago, the European branch reported that they had found counterfeits smuggled from China.
M company entrusted SOSCO to investigate. SOSCO formed a specific investigation group investigating and monitoring four major districts, as M required and SOSCO suggested. Within two months, the group had identified the processing factory in Guangdong Province and related warehouses where the counterfeits were produced and stocked.
With the support from SOSCO raid group, the local enforcement authority closed down the factory and warehouse at one stroke, detained the counterfeits and machines on site and imposed a pecuniary fine on the principal infringer.
